From Starter, choose a readable slug of 3 to 64 characters; every plan can take a generated 7-character code. Redirects are served from cache first, so the destination loads quickly.

On Starter and above, set an expiry date with a fallback URL, protect a link with a password, and apply saved UTM templates when you create it.

What is a custom URL shortener and how is it different?
It turns a long address into a short one on a domain you choose, such as go.yourbrand.com/offer, instead of a shared domain. You can also edit it later and see who clicked.
Can I use my own domain for short links?
Yes, on Starter and above. You add a CNAME record pointing to cname.urlcrop.com (apex domains use an A record), URLCrop verifies it, and the certificate is issued automatically. Starter includes 1 domain, Pro 3, Business 10 and Agency 25. Free uses crop.sh.
Is there a free URL shortener plan?
Yes. Free gives you 25 new links a month on crop.sh with 30 days of analytics. A free account is required, pages carry a "Made with URLCrop" badge, and there are no anonymous links.
Can I change a link after I have shared it?
Yes. Edit the destination at any time and the new target is live within about 5 seconds. The short link, and any QR code pointing to it, stays the same.
Can I password-protect a link or make it expire?
Yes, on Starter and above. Visitors enter the password on a page served before the redirect, and an expired link sends people to a fallback URL or an expired page.
Will my links stop working if I hit my limit or miss a payment?
No. Quotas and billing state only limit creating new links and using dashboard features. Existing links keep redirecting.
Can I create links in bulk?
Bulk creation from a CSV of up to 10,000 rows is coming soon for Pro and above. Until then you can create links one at a time in the dashboard or through the API.
