Questions
Does the money go through URLCrop?
No. The code contains your UPI ID, so payments go directly from the payer’s UPI app to your bank account. URLCrop never sees or handles them.
Can I set a fixed amount?
Yes. Enter an amount and UPI apps pre-fill it for the payer. Leave it empty to let the payer type any amount, which suits a shop counter.
What is the upi:// payment link for?
It is the same payment request as the QR code, written as a link. On a phone, opening it offers the UPI apps installed. Some messaging apps do not make upi:// links clickable, so test before you share.
Does this QR code count scans?
No. It is a static code: it keeps working, but it cannot be edited or counted. Keep a copy of the image in case you need to reprint it.
Which apps can scan a UPI QR code?
Any UPI app that scans payment QR codes, such as your bank’s app or a UPI wallet app. The code uses the standard upi://pay format.
Can I print it for my shop counter or a poster?
Yes. Download the SVG for print, then pay a small amount to yourself with your own UPI app to confirm the ID, name and amount are right before you print copies.
Do you store my UPI ID?
No. Everything is generated in your browser. Nothing you type or upload is sent to our servers or stored, and we never create a link for you without an account.
