What is a URL shortener?
A URL shortener turns a long web address into a short link that redirects to it. URLCrop adds your own domain, a safety check and click and revenue tracking on top.
Is URLCrop a free URL shortener?
There is a permanent Free plan with 25 new links a month and 3 dynamic QR codes. It needs an account, and a custom domain starts on Starter.
Can I use my own domain for short links?
Yes. Starter includes 1 custom domain and Pro includes 3, so links can read go.yourbrand.com/offer. Free uses crop.sh.
What is a dynamic QR code?
A dynamic QR code points to a short link, so you can change where it goes after printing. You also get scan analytics. A static code cannot be edited.
Can I track QR code scans?
Yes. Every dynamic QR code records scans by city, device and time. Free keeps 30 days of analytics and paid plans keep 1 to 3 years.
How do I track which influencer or campaign made a sale?
Give each influencer or campaign its own branded link. With Convert on Business, purchases are matched to the link that sent them and you see revenue per link.
Do I need an account to shorten a link?
Yes. All plans, including Free, require an account, and you verify your email before creating anything. The free tools on this site run in your browser and store nothing.
What happens to my links when I reach a limit?
Your links and QR codes never stop working because of a limit or a missed payment. Limits only pause creating new ones and some dashboard features.
Do you issue GST invoices and accept UPI?
In India we bill in INR through Razorpay with UPI AutoPay, cards and net banking, and issue a GST tax invoice. Elsewhere we bill in USD through PayPal.
